The Tax Administration was founded in January 1947, in charge of collecting taxes including business tax, stamp tax, land value tax, land value increment tax, house tax, deed tax, vehicle license tax, amusement tax, agricultural land tax. Integrity, Efficiency, Convenient and Growth are the goals and ideals of the Administration, to achieve these aims, we has constantly made effort to simplify tax-paying procedures and make them more convenient for taxpayers, incorporate new ideal, implement the quality system of ISO-9002, use computer to achieve automation, and educate the public to comply with the tax laws and to pay their taxes timely and honestly.

Taxation is one of the most important functions under supervision of the Government of Tainan
County. In the year 2001, the tax revenue collected by the Administration is NTD$ 12.5billion; Taxation not only serves as a vital financial source for the Government, but also accelerates the development of the County's economy and helps rationalize the income distribution and tax burden of people.
